    • An 11/20/04 AP article said: "Tom Martin said the project has consumed hundreds upon hundreds of hours of his time, so in the past year he stopped updating it regularly."
    • Regarding the lack of complete Pennsylvania statutes online, the article said: "'It's come up before, and all I can say is we periodically discuss it,' said House parliamentarian Clancy Myer. 'There are some of us in favor of it, but it's just never gotten off the ground.'"

Political Campaign Calling - GOTV Calling:

Direct voice campaigns can effectively target geographical regions, and guarantee delivery to a live person or an answering machine, making it significantly more effective than TV, radio or direct mail.

As a candidate, or political advocate, you may record your own voice message within minutes, and have 100,000's of voters hear your message within 24 hours. CallZing is capable of 1000's of simultaneous phone calls, and is the quickest, most effective way, to broadcast your political message. No other dialer can dial your campaign as fast as we can. Your dialing campaigns can run anywhere in size from 10,000 to 10,000,000 numbers, depending on the number of voters you wish to contact!

*Contact as many Voters as you want, in a short period of time.
*Give Live Voters the option to transfer to your campaign volunteers for more information, or simply play your message.
*View the outcome of every phone call, this file can be easily downloaded as an excel spreadsheet.
*You only pay for Live Answer pickups and Answering Machines. You don't pay for Busy's, No Answer's, or Bad numbers.
*Save $1000's on marketing costs, received substantial ROI, and target your region like never before.
*CallZing requires nothing except an internet connection and a credit card.
*Live, Comprehensive statistics. So you know how many Voters you've contacted and how quickly your campaign completed.

Sample Campaign from Political Candidate George Washington:

When an individual picks up the phone, CallZing plays the following sound file:

"Hi my name George Washington and I'm running for President of the United States of America. I'm calling you today to ask for your support of me, George Washington in the November Elections. I promise to focus on Education, Health Care, The War, and Medicare, and will listen to you, the general public, once I am in office. Press 1 now to speak to someone from my staff, if you have questions on how I plan on helping the United States become a better place to live. Remember, Vote for George Washington! Thank you."

If user presses 1, Call transfers to (310)-555-5555. (Campaign headquarters.)

A system that allows 100's or 1000's of volunteers to use their home or cell phone, to call a single 800#, and be automatically connected to your list of potential voters. Volunteers can then do their best to convey your message or political goals.

**A few 100 Volunteers can contact several 100,000 voters over the course of a few weeks!**
**Use Volunteers ANYWHERE in the United States to help your cause!**
**Ensure your Volunteers are working at FULL CAPACITY, while they are on the phone!**
**Easy-To-Use Campaign Management Interface, and Easy-To-Download STATISTICS!**

How does it work?

1. A Volunteer (located anywhere in the U.S.) calls into the system with an unblocked caller ID.
2. The system prompts the user to hang up.
3. The V-Dial system saves the volunteer’s caller ID, and gives them a call back using Voice-Over-IP technology.
4. In seconds, the Volunteer’s phone rings, followed by a prompt from the system. The volunteer is required to type in a pass code (to prevent system misuse)
5. The user then hears instructions for how to use the system (bypassed by pressing the # at any time) and then the Volunteer will automatically begin receiving calls.
6. The volunteer will hear a beep each time a voter has been connected to him or her. After the beep, the Volunteer may introduce themselves and continue their campaign.
7. When the call is complete, the Volunteer must type #1# to #9#, indicating the outcome of the phone call. (For example, #1# may indicate that the Voter plans on voting for candidate A, and #4# may indicate the Voter was convinced by the Volunteer to vote for Candidate C.)

Example Campaign:

Here is an example email that could be sent to your group of volunteers:
Dear Volunteer,
Thanks for helping our cause and agreeing to be a Volunteer for GeorgeWashington.org.
1. At precisely 7:00 PM Eastern Time (6:00 Central, 5:00 Mountain, 4:00 Pacific), call 800-888-8888. If you get a busy signal, wait a few seconds and try again. You'll hear a message telling you to hang up and a moment later the system will call you back. It will ask you to enter a pass code, but don't enter a number, just press #. You'll hear some instructions, then there may be a pause of a minute or two while the system dials, after which you'll be connected to a voter on the west coast. When that happens, you'll hear a beep and the voter will answer.
2. When you're connected to a voter, read this script (If you're connected to an answering machine, don't leave a message, just press #9#.):
Hi, my name's _____ and I'm a volunteer with GeorgeWashington.org. We're calling voters on the West Coast tonight to let them know why it’s best to vote for George Washington. Have you thought about who you are planning to vote for in this year’s election?
<Talk to the Voter, ask about education, healthcare, the war, the economy, etc, and educate them on George Washington’s goals for each. Now’s the time to make the pitch!>
End with: OK, thanks a lot, have a good night. I'm supposed to say that this call is paid for by GeorgeWashington.org. You have a great evening!

3. After you say goodbye to a member, do not hang up. Stay on the line and press the result, e.g. #3#.
Voter plans to vote for George Washington (Result #1#)
Voter plans to vote for Bill Clinton (Result #2#)
Voter plans to vote for George Bush (Result #3#)
Voter is voting for someone else (Result #4#)
Voter has elected not to vote (Result #5#)
Voter did not want to speak with me (Result #6#)
Other (Result #7#)
Received Answering Machine (Result #8#)
Don't worry if you accidentally press the wrong number or if their answer doesn't fit neatly into one of these categories—just pick one. There may be a pause while the system dials, then you'll be connected to another voter. Keep doing this for 2 hours, then at 9:00PM Eastern (8:00 Central, 7:00 Mountain, 6:00 Pacific). In 2 hours, simply hang up!
